Continue to Lake Manyara National Park, a haven for tree-climbing lions, flamingos, elephants, and diverse birdlife, before concluding your trip in Tarangire National Park, famous for its iconic baobab trees and large elephant herds. Day 1:
Moshi - Mount Kilimanjaro
Arrive in Moshi or Arusha and transfer to your lodge located near Mount Kilimanjaro. After check-in, spend the afternoon exploring the nearby villages, coffee plantations, and enjoying cultural interactions with the local Chagga community. Take in panoramic views of Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped summit as the sun sets. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 2:
Mount Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, embark on a guided hike through the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. Wander through rainforests rich with bird species, monkeys, and unique flora. Visit stunning waterfalls such as Materuni Falls, and enjoy a picnic lunch in the fresh mountain air. This soft adventure introduces you to Kilimanjaro’s beauty without requiring technical climbing. Return to your lodge in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 3:
Lake Manyara National Park
In the morning, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a picturesque park located at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. After checking in at your lodge and having lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive. The park is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, elephant families, hippos, and thousands of flamingos that turn the soda lake pink. Enjoy spectacular views of the Rift Valley and later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4:
Game Viewing in Lake Manyara
Spend the full day exploring the rich landscapes of Lake Manyara National Park, from thick groundwater forests to acacia woodlands and open grasslands. Encounter giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and more than 400 bird species. Stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the lake before continuing your safari adventure. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5:
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s hidden gems. Famous for its towering baobab trees and massive herds of elephants, Tarangire offers a classic safari experience. Enjoy a morning game drive, spotting lions, leopards, wildebeests, and various antelope species. After a picnic lunch, continue with a short game drive before transferring back to Arusha or the airport for your departure. This marks the end of your unforgettable 5 days Tanzania safari.
