Day 1:
Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Arrive in Arusha where you’ll be met by your guide and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park. As you drive through the scenic landscapes, you’ll start spotting wildlife even before entering the park. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and then head out for your first afternoon game drive. Keep your eyes peeled for large elephant herds, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, and predators lurking in the grass. Return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of nature.
Day 2:
Tarangire National Park
Spend a full day exploring Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its seasonal swamps and life-giving Tarangire River, which attracts a variety of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and over 500 species of birds. Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives with a picnic lunch in the bush. The striking baobab-dotted landscapes provide incredible photography opportunities. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight, reflecting on the day’s safari highlights.
Day 3:
Tarangire - Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, depart Tarangire and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at your lodge perched on the crater rim in time for lunch, offering spectacular views into the caldera. In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely walk along the rim or a cultural visit to a Maasai village, learning about their traditional way of life. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater.
Day 4:
Ngorongoro Crater
Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day safari. This natural wonder is home to nearly every species of East African wildlife, including the endangered black rhino. Watch lions patrol the grasslands, elephants move gracefully through the forest, and flocks of flamingos cover the crater lakes. With luck, you may spot the “Big Five” in a single day. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before continuing your adventure. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 5:
Ngorongoro - Zanzibar
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar Island. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your beachfront resort where you can relax by the turquoise Indian Ocean. Spend the afternoon at leisure – sunbathing, swimming, or enjoying optional activities like snorkeling, spice tours, or exploring the historic Stone Town. Dinner and overnight at your resort in Zanzibar.
Day 6:
Zanzibar Beach Retreat & Departure
Spend your final day at leisure in Zanzibar. Take a stroll along the beach, enjoy water sports, or simply relax at the resort. Depending on your flight schedule, you may visit a spice plantation or shop for souvenirs in Stone Town before your transfer to the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzania safari and beach holiday.
